2013 NCYC On-line Registration
NCYC is open to all Catholic high school age youth (during the 2013-2014 school year) and their chaperons. The youth are often leaders in their local parishes, schools and/or diocese, though many are just beginning to connect to their faith. Some attendees may have participated in previous national or international events such as Young Neighbors in Action or World Youth Day. Many are experiencing this type of gathering for the first time.
WHAT: The National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) is an exciting, biennial three-day experience of prayer, community, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers and their adult chaperons. The schedule includes general and concurrent sessions addressing a wide variety of topics including forgiveness, Catholic spirituality and prayer, global issues, sexuality, and leadership. There are also opportunities for liturgy and special activities such as concerts and exhibits.
WHEN: November 21-24, 2013.
WHY: Youth and adult participants attend the NCYC because they want to:
- Gather on a national level
- Learn more about themselves and their relationship to the Catholic Church
- Celebrate their Catholic Christian faith
- Meet thousands of other Catholic youth
- Share beliefs and experiences
- Recognize their role in the larger Catholic Church
HOW: Plan, Prepare, Pray, Plead (fund-raise), and Pack!!!!!
COST: Based on the current information, we have two cost options available. Option A is $600 and includes bus transportation and all items listed below. Option B is $430 and does not include transportation. Both options include hotel room, registration, t-shirt, journal, and pen. We are estimating four youth per room/two adults per room.
When budgeting with your youth, please include the additional cost of food and souvenirs. We will try to get a motel with breakfast included. Assuming this, each person is responsible for 8 meals estimated at $10 per meal during NCYC. We must also keep in mind meals while traveling, which could be an additional cost.
The payment schedule is as follows:
May 1, 2013 - $150
July 30, 2013 - $150
August 30, 2013 - $150
September 30, 2013 - $150
Non refundable deposit of $150 per person is due no later than May 1, 2013 to our office.
